Rennes viaduct

Located at the extreme north of the future B line of Rennes' automatic metro, the 8.60 metre wide viaduct is 2,400 metres long. It is comprised of 979 concrete segments prefabricated on site, installed with a 600-tonne launch beam and then prestressed.

Highlight: A highly technical structure with a complex geometry, that had to be built covertly (i.e. without disrupting the urban traffic and limiting the sound and visual impacts).

Contracting authority: Greater Rennes and its authorised agent SemtCar
Architect: Lavigne & Cheron Architects
Project management: Consortium comprised of Egis rail, Egis bâtiments, Arcadis and Heudé
