Route de la Corniche of Brazaville


Razel was awarded the construction work on Brazzaville's Route de la Corniche and the urban improvements in the Bacongo and Makelekele neighbourhoods.
- LOT A: waste removal and construction of a 50,000 m3 landfill for household refuse;
- LOT B: construction of a 2x2 lane roadway over 5 km, along the Congo River;
- LOT C: improving 6.4 km of roadways in the Bacongo and Makelekele neighbourhoods;
- LOT D: construction of a 1,425 metre U-section concrete collector 4 to 7 metres wide and reconstruction of 2 hydraulic structures;
- LOT E: construction of a 3-span prestressed concrete viaduct 115.7 metres long with two approximately 20-metre high piers.
To obtain the project, a major qualifying Environment, Safety, Health and Hygiene component is required. This component will be treated as an additional lot, and is a priority subject for the funding agency.

Highlight: The construction of the Route de la Corniche in steep and eroded zones along the bank of the Congo River requires the execution of specific earthwork, backfill reinforcement and retaining methods.
